A NOTE FROM SAHAIB
Dear family and friends,
Four years ago, I wasn't looking for forever. I was heading to Holi with friends, she was going home for her birthday. Two paths crossed in Chennai, and everything shifted.
March 21st, 2022. I showed up at her house before we both caught our trains. Her mom made pav bhaji, I played Uno with Yukti and Vriddi, and we left together for the station. That walk changed me. The next evening, we both said what we'd been feeling.
What followed wasn't easy. From working together to long distance in days. Late-night calls when times aligned. Trust built across cities, through uncertainty, across four years of showing up even when it was hard. We're still long distance now, even after getting engaged last April. Most people wouldn't choose this path, but with Shruti, it never felt like a choice. It just made sense.
She's been my constant through every version of this journey. The person who sees my work at 2 AM and asks the right questions. The one who grounds me when I'm too far in my head. With her, everything sharpens into focus.
To my family: you taught me what steady looks like. What it means to build something real, to keep your word, to stay when it matters. I'm here because you showed me how.
To Shruti's family: thank you for trusting me with someone you raised with so much care. That first night at your home, I felt welcomed before I'd earned it. I don't take that lightly.
To our friends who've watched this unfold, celebrated with us, and never doubted: you made the distance feel smaller. You kept us grounded. You're part of why we made it here.
This isn't the end of long distance, just a different chapter. We've done harder things than most couples face before marriage. That foundation matters. It's built to last.
Here's to what we've built and everything still ahead.
With love,
Sahaib

THE BRIDE
A NOTE FROM SHRUTI
My dearest ones,
As I sit down to write this, my heart is overflowing with emotions. The little girl who once dreamed of her wedding day could never have imagined a love so deep and so real. Finding Sahaib came to me in the most unexpected way, when I had given up on love and wasn’t looking for it. And yet, in that moment of surrender, love found me & to see it blossom into this beautiful journey has been nothing short of magical.
Our love story was not written in the usual way. It grew across distances, through late-night calls, patient waiting, and countless moments of trust. With every passing day, our bond deepened. Sahaib has been my constant (my strength on uncertain days, my loudest cheerleader, and my safest place). With him, love feels effortless and home feels permanent.
To my family, my forever anchor, your unwavering love, endless sacrifices, and silent strength have carried me through every season of my life. I stand here today because of the never-ending support and warmth you have poured into me. There are no words grand enough to thank you for holding my hand, even when I didn’t know I needed it.
To my dear in-laws, From the very first time I met you all in November 2022, you made me feel welcome and loved. Each of you, opened your hearts to me so effortlessly. Your warmth has eased the ache of leaving my own family and made this new beginning feel less like a goodbye and more like coming home.
And to our friends, who have shared our joy, celebrated our milestones, and stood by us with so much love, you have filled our journey with laughter and light. Your presence makes this moment even more meaningful.
As we step into this new chapter, surrounded by love and blessings, my heart is overflowing with gratitude. Thank you for being part of our story and for celebrating this day with us.
Here's to love, laughter, and happily ever after.
Forever grateful,
Shruti
